Gossip on Letterman last night! Look at that Chris Sutton we love so much playing bass…
Happy Day-Before-Valentine’s Day!
COCO - “Cutie Pie” from The COCO Sound—-mwah!
This is a photo from our Christmas party that we had a few weeks ago. Chain & The Gang was in the studio at the time, and we all had a ton of fun. Notice that everyone is wearing seasonally appropriate K mittens and scarves!
This amazing video will make you want to work out—-an hour long set with Dub Narcotic Sound System live! This was shot by our very own Sarah Cass in her hometown of Grand Junction, CO at a house show back in 2001, just a teenage fan way back when.
Hornet Leg live on KUCI-FM, Irvine, California, August 5, 2007. This song, “Bloody Hand”, appears on the Blood Trilogy [IPU116], their volume in our International Pop Underground series of 7″ 45 rpm phonograph records. This early line-up of Hornet Leg features Chris Sutton (also of C.O.C.O. and Dub Narcotic Sound System) and Claudia Meza (Explode into Colors).
One more time!
Chain & The Gang in the studio, and man is this office full of ROCK & ROLL!
Dub Narcotic Sound System brings the mess - eat on “Shock Mount” from Out of Your Mind [KLP083].
Spider & The Webs - It’s Lovely Weather for Ducks
It’s a beautiful sunny day today, and from my window in the K office I can see nothing but blue blue sky. This is a rare thing in Olympia, and we’re celebrating with snacks—-kettle corn, cookies, black tea (we always have a pot of black tea somewhere around here) & wonderful, old Spider & The Webs! In lieu of actual cake (appropriate food for such a wonderful day as this) let us all imagine we are eating this K record cake together. Mmmmm…you can have the big piece.

“Cowboy Coffee (Version)” by Dub Narcotic Sound System (and remixed by the infamous Selector Dub Narcotic) is a tightened-up dubophonic groove that delivers the dreamscape. An unsafe mix of radioactive garage soul sound sweeping the mining towns of the west; the subterranean dance floors of the east will recoil in anticipation. Drop the needle, smash the record.
