Anglepoise Cymbals! Selector Dub Narcotic’s (aka Calvin Johnson) remix of the new Mount Eerie track (<—a link to buy the 7”, hint hint). Man, I love me some good melodica playin’—it sure brings in the birds, if ya know what I’m sayin’.
White Rainbow’s “The Making of Thriller” Dub Narcotic Disco Plate was one of three K 7”s released this week. You can also check out the other two records by the Pine Hill Haints and the Hive Dwellers.
Here’s the supersonic B-side from this disco plate, entitled “The Making of Star Wars”. This remix is by Selector Dub Narcotic, the studio engineer entity otherwise known to the world as Calvin Johnson.

Selector Dub Narcotic has cut up the sheets of “Lynch the Swan” and sewn them back in weird, warm ways - here’s “Dub the Swan”, the B-side of the upcoming Dub Narcotic Disco Plate by The Hive Dwellers.
“Lynch the Swan” b/w “Dub the Swan” will be officially released on November 15, 2011 but can be ordered now from the K Mail Order Dept.
One band’s B-side is another fan’s treasure - LAKE’s “Backwards & Forwards” is no filler. Recorded at Dub Narcotic Studio in June 2011 with The Men of LAKE (Mark, Eli, & Andrew), this lil slow burner warms in all the right ways.
“Backwards & Forwards” was a bonus track in the 52nd edition of the K Singles Zip-Pak on July 7, 2011. This transmission featured LAKE’s upcoming “Gravel”/”Re-grade” 7” Dub Narcotic Disco Plate (DBN116).
Like apple pie on the last day of summer: Kendl Winter’s “At the Same Time,” from her Dub Narcotic Disco Plate of the same name. This track was recorded by Calvin Johnson at the esteemed Dub Narcotic Studio, and the B-side gets the graceful remix treatment from Selector Dub Narcotic.
“At the Same Time” b/w “The Same Version” (DBN121) was released on June 7, 2011. This fine 7” is available from the wonderful folks over at the K Mail Order Dept.

Here’s more… more Johnson, more Dub Nar, more… Birdman! Yes, it’s time for saunter onto some remix Astroturf. This “Dub Walk,” if you will, is the B side of Bobby Birdman’s upcoming Dub Narcotic Disco Plate entitled “Don’t Walk Away” (DBN124, dropping on 6/21/2011). “Dub Walk” features none other than Selector Dub Narcotic, the nom de plume of Calvin Johnson, remix superstar.
Oh, and “Dub Walk” is available in today’s transmission of the K Singles Zip-Pak, along with the A side, “Don’t Walk Away,” and a multitude of extras.
