The Curious Mystery - “PB & J” from We Creeling [KLP225]
The CMers are going to be playing in Seattle at Folklife this Friday. Here’s hoping they play this sweet jam, this jellyroll of a tune. It’s nutty, but we love it. Plus, it’s named after my favorite kind of sandwich!

The Curious Mystery - “From The Garden”
The warped & pretty closer from last year’s killer We Creeling [KLP225]. The guitar sounds on this song are so weird and cool—as they should be, considering the band customizes and builds their own instruments. If you live anywhere near/around the east coast, be sure to check out their live freak outs happening right now; find their dates on our shows page.

The Curious Mystery plays tonight at our weekly live music series at Ace Hotel New York with Brooklyn-based songwriter and tinkerer Matthew Steinke, who fronts a hand-built robotic musical menagerie he has dubbed Octant. Steam, bellows and clockwork comprise the ghostly powers directing his orchestra.
Catch both of these rare acts tonight in the lobby. Music curator and artist Chris Tucci plays some of the best bands from Coachella this year before, during and after sets. The Curious Mystery just released a new album in March on K Records, so pick one up while you’re there.
