Our Emily Beanblossom (Ruby Fray!) met up with Joel Brazzel in Austin, Texas; karaoke ensued. Who sang which song, we do not know.
Our Joel Brazzel (formerly of the K Mail Order Dept.) sends this photog from San Angelo, Texas: the Texas Theater! Punk me out.
Calvin Johnson -“What Was Me”
Joel’s very last pick for ‘K Song Of The Day,’ an in-office tradition for all of Joel’s nine years at K, is this wonderful song by Calvin. Joel, we’re you’re biggest fans and we’re gonna miss you!! xo
Over the last few weeks Mail Order Maven Joel Brazzel has asked members of the K staff to create Staff Playlists for the K Mail Order Dept. This week he compiled his Staff Playlist, of K songs that have meant the mostest to him over the years. If anyone knows the K catalogue, it is Joel Brazzel, he’s been living amidst it for nine years! He launches the artists on their tours, and greets them upon their return. His K Staff Playlist is available as individual digital downloadables or as a full album download.
You can hear Joel‘s K Staff Playlist streaming HERE.
Beautiful men & their sweatshirts! Andrew Dorsett & Markly Morrison pose outside of K on Jefferson St.
Eeeew! K staffers Joel and Ben sampled the Seattle Gum Wall (that’s right. All of that is gum. Years upon years of gum. Such a beautiful sight, all that gum) at the market when we went up to see Mirah & Thao a couple months back. Totally a sticky love-for-all.

Our K hero-naut Joel get’s down at the bowling alley! Yes, its true, we K people are totally in-the-know with the modern dance grooves.

This is a photo from our Christmas party that we had a few weeks ago. Chain & The Gang was in the studio at the time, and we all had a ton of fun. Notice that everyone is wearing seasonally appropriate K mittens and scarves!
